Graham Roberts said on Twitter that even Liverpool and West Ham United fans told him Harry Kane should have won the PFA Player of the Year award ahead of Kevin De Bruyne.
The former Tottenham star can’t believe Spurs forward Kane didn’t win the prestigious award.
As reported by The Mirror tonight, Manchester City midfielder De Bruyne has been voted PFA player of the year.
The Belgian international midfielder also won the distinction in 2019-2020.
However, there will be some debate over this award for last season.
Yes, the Premier League players voted for De Bruyne to win it, but should they have done so?
The 29-year-old is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
De Bruyne did well for City last season, helping them win the Premier League and also leading them to the Champions League final.
However, the midfielder has struggled with injuries and has spent a good part of the season on the guidelines.
De Bruyne has only made 23 starts and two substitute appearances in the league.
The former Chelsea man has scored six goals and provided 12 assists in those games.
Kane won the Premier League Golden Boot and also led the assists standings.
The England international scored 23 goals and provided 14 assists in the Premier League last season.
