BCCI asks fans to support the team

New Delhi [India], Jun 11 (ANI): The long-awaited World Trial Championship final between India and New Zealand is only a week away and Indian players are sparing no effort to prepare for the clash at High octane at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. The Cricket Control Council of India (BCCI) has called on fans to support the players as they prepare for the shock at the top. Speaking to Twitter, BCCI wrote: The countdown has now passed to 1 week! Support Team India as they are all set to take on New Zealand in the WTC21 Final. “Virat Kohli and the boys’ preparations are in full swing for the WTC final. BCCI shared a preview of the ‘high intensity’ training session on Thursday. In the video, the Kohli-led team appear to have ticked all the boxes. the boxes with players sweating the field honing all the skills required to be at their best before taking to the field on June 18. “We had our first group practice and the intensity was high . Team India preparations are in full swing for the WTC21 final, “BCCI tweeted. The Indian cricket team had landed in Southampton on June 3 and after that each member of the touring contingent underwent a mandatory quarantine of three. days. At the Hampshire Bowl, the players were tested again before starting a period of managed isolation. Regular testing will be carried out during the isolation period. Before leaving for England, the coach Eur-Indian Chief Ravi Shastri had said that in the future the International Cricket Council (ICC) should seek to make the WTC final a best-of-three match and this could be played as a three-match series. Meanwhile, the New Zealand team are already in the UK for their bilateral series against England and the team will move from the ECB’s bio-secure environment into the final WTC bubble on June 15 and will be subject to regular testing before and after arrival in Southampton.
