After a long battle with a wrist injury and a case of gastro, Penrith hooker Api Koroisau says he’s ready to go this week as the undefeated Panthers take on the Sea Eagles.
Penrith may be the fit squad for the competition, but a win won’t be easy with Manly, who hosted star full-back Tom Trbojevic, after a three-game winning streak.
All eyes will be on Koroisau, who has been sidelined for six weeks.
The former Sea Eagles this time revealed he “feels really good” as he looks to join Penrith’s playgroup.
“I spent most of last Tuesday in the bathroom with gastro,” Koroisau told the Daily Telegraph.
“I think I picked it up from the kids so it pretty much kept me out of the game last weekend.
“Everything is better than what I did last week, I can tell you that, but I really want to come back.
“Watching boys play and win games so well you just want to be a part of it and I feel really good.”
Panthers coach Ivan Cleary said he was looking forward to seeing Koroisau on the pitch again.
“He’s part of our team, he’s a very cunning player and it’s good to get him back on the pitch,” Cleary told Fox League.
