Pakistan has solved the problems of broadcasting the next cricket round between England and Pakistan, according to Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry.

Earlier this month, Chaudhry said the show between the two teams would not be shown in Pakistan, as Indian broadcasters Star and Asia rejected a PTV contract request.

Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry said on Friday that the government “has found a way to broadcast the Pakistan-England series.”

“Congratulations to Multan Sultans for becoming the new [PSL] champions, ”he tweeted. I thank Rizwan, Babar Azam, the other Pakistani and foreign heroes who participated in this fabulous cricket event.

“We have solved the problem of broadcasting the Pakistan-England cricket series,” he tweeted.

Members of the Pakistani ODI and T20I teams are said to have left for England.

Here’s why Pakistan was facing a broadcast issue for the upcoming Pak-Eng series

Earlier this month, Chaudhry said Pakistan’s upcoming tour of England would not air in the country due to a licensing issue with Indian broadcasters.

Chaudhry had said Pakistani Television (PTV) ‘s request for a contract with Indian broadcasters Star and Asia – who have the rights to broadcast the match – was denied.

“Indian companies own the broadcasting rights [matches] in South Asia …. and we cannot do business with any Indian company, ”he said.

The information minister said Pakistan would approach the England Cricket Board to try to find another solution. He reiterated that the country would not do business with India until it took back the decision of August 5, 2019, when New Delhi revoked the special status of occupied Kashmir.

“The normalization of ties with India is subject to the withdrawal of the August 5 decision,” he said.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and PTV will indeed suffer considerable losses as a result, added the Minister of Information.

The first match of the series, an ODI, will be played at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff on July 8th.
