Ranji Trophy to debut November 16, Vijay Hazare February 2022

Bombay (Maharashtra) [India], July 3 (ANI): The Cricket Control Council of India (BCCI) on Saturday announced the return of national cricket to India – for the upcoming 2021-22 season – with a total of 2,127 national matches to be played at all ages. groups in the male and female categories.
According to the BCCI media advisory, the season will start on September 21 with the Senior Women’s One Day League and will be followed by the Senior Women’s One Day Challenger Trophy, which will be held from October 27.
The men’s tournaments will start with the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The T20 event will start on October 20 and the final will be played on November 12.
The coveted Ranji Trophy, which was canceled last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will be played in a three-month window from November 16 to February 19, 2022.
The Vijay Hazare Trophy will run from February 23, 2022 to March 26, 2022.
“BCCI is confident to host the national season, with the health and safety of the players and all those involved being paramount,” the governing body said in an official statement.
The Vijay Hazare Trophy was won by Mumbai this year while Tamil Nadu won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in January 2021. (ANI)
