Scott Sio’s injury sees Rebels prop joining Wallabies squad

the Wallabies I lost another veteran with mainstay Scott Sio excluded from the France Test series due to a hamstring injury.

The 29-year-old, who has 59 caps, was injured at the Wallabies training camp last Friday.

After scans over the weekend, it was decided he should return to Canberra for further treatment, excluding him from the three-test run, which begins in Brisbane next Wednesday.

Melbourne Rebels mainstay Cameron Orr has joined their Gold Coast home base as a replacement.

The Australian team had previously lost seasoned half-back Nic White after injuring his knee in training.

Playmaker Matt Toomua, who suffers from a neck injury, returned to the squad on Tuesday after receiving treatment in Canberra, where Rugby Australia chief medical officer Warren McDonald is based.
