Fortnite Halloween skins: the vampire costume could come to Battle Royale

  • Fortnite data miners found data suggesting vampire skin could be released
  • The popular online game released Halloween costumes in October
  • Festive skins include the original Skull Trooper and two spooky Jack O ‘Lanterns

Epic Games’ Fortnite is taking Halloween seriously this year, having already introduced party-themed skins like two spooky Jack O’Lanterns and brought back the original Fortnite skin: Skull Trooper.

Now, the hugely popular co-op shooter has seen several other Halloween-themed skins leak in the run-up to the v6.10 patch update, suggesting that things are about to get a lot scarier.

According to the Fortnite leaked Twitter account FNBRleaks, the latest patch features Halloween-themed skins like Spider-Knight, Arachne, Guan-Yu, and Onesie, not to mention gear like an Arachne’s Back Bling, Long Legs, Spider Knight’s Spider Shield, and Guan-Yu’s Loyal Shield.

Spider-Knight looks like The Ashen One from Dark Souls III, while Arachne appears to be from the world of Overwatch. Guan-Yu’s golden outfit appears to follow another favorite Fortnite skin: Wukong, King of the Apes.

There are also lighter Halloween-themed skins that float, including the Onesie, which features a Durr Burger motif.

However, it looks like Fortnite still has a few secrets up its sleeve.

Data miners @Hypexleaks and @ShiinaBR searched the Fortnite game data for clues about upcoming skins and found a few horror-themed ones.

A skin called Sanctum is believed to be a male vampire costume, with a Cape Coven bling back.

There may also be a female version that the developers did not add. There is already a Female Vampire skin called Dusk that came out in the Season 6 Battle Pass.

It is not yet clear when Fortnite will add the new outfits, although VGR expects it to be around October 24, when the latest Fortnite patch is expected to be released.

The alleged vampire skins, along with the latest v6.10 leaks, cap off a spooky month for Fortnite, which has released Halloween-themed skins throughout October.

Previous patch update leaks have seen skins like Hay Man and Straw Ops scarecrow-themed costumes appear.

Scourge skins found in patch v6.02 data also potentially haunted Fortnite fields.

The appeal of Fortnite for Halloween is so great that people should even prepare to see the game’s skins in real life.

Fortnite skins are the most popular Halloween costumes for 2018, beating competitors like Spider-Man, Harley-Quinn, and Pirate, according to new data from the Google Blog.
