London: The England and Wales Cricket Council (ECB) has appointed an unchanged 16-member ODI squad – currently playing Sri Lanka – for the three-to-50 series against Pakistan which begins in Cardiff on July 8.
Somerset wicket keeper Tom Banton, who has joined the squad for the third ODI against Sri Lanka which will be played in Bristol later on Sunday, has been retained in the squad under Eoin Morgan.
“England will name their team for the Vitality IT20 series against Pakistan later this month,” the ECB said in a statement on Saturday.
Ahead of the crucial ODI series against Pakistan, England coach Graham Thorpe told ESPNcricinfo that “Potentially, the Pakistani series could push us further.
