Weekend COVID curfew lifted in 13 districts

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], July 4 (ANI): As COVID-19 cases began to decline in Jammu and Kashmir, the government announced on Sunday that there would be no weekend lockdown in 13 districts. The daily nighttime curfew will however continue from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. in the 13 arrondissements.
According to a government decree, these districts are – Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Poonch, Rajouri, Udhampur, Anantnag, Bandipora, Baramulla, Budgam, Ganderbal, Pulwama and Shopian.
All outdoor stores are authorized to open daily only from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. In indoor shopping complexes and neighborhood shopping malls, only customers who have been vaccinated and those who have tested negative within the last 48 hours will be allowed.
Restaurants and bars can open their doors at 50% of their capacity, only for customers who are vaccinated and COVID-19.
Indoor complexes will also be allowed to open at 50%. The swimming pools will however remain closed.
In the other seven arrondissements, a weekend curfew from Friday 8 p.m. to Monday 7 a.m. and a daily nighttime curfew will remain in place.
All outdoor stores and bazaars are permitted to open Monday through Friday.
25% of stores in indoor shopping complexes and shopping centers are allowed to open.
According to the Union Ministry of Health, there are currently 4,048 active cases of COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir. Up to 3,08,246 healings and 4,335 deaths have been reported in Union territory so far.
A total of 47,61,579 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in Jammu and Kashmir, including 40,14,703 first doses and 7,466,876 second doses. (ANI)
