Containment extended in Haryana until July 12

Chandigarh [India], July 4 (ANI): The Haryana government extended the COVID-19 lockdown on Sunday until July 12 with some easing, including the opening of stores, malls and restaurants with a capacity of 50%.

In accordance with the order, stores will be allowed to open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., while shopping centers are allowed to operate from 10 a.m.

Restaurants and bars (including in hotels and shopping malls) are allowed to open from 10 a.m. with 50% of total capacity with all COVID-19 protocols and social distancing standards.

Home delivery from hotels, restaurants and fast food outlets is permitted until 10 p.m.

Religious places are allowed to open with 50 people at a time. Company offices are allowed to open with full presence subject to strict adherence to appropriate COVID-19 behaviors and regular disinfection.

Up to 50 people are allowed to attend weddings and funerals. No movement of the Barat procession will be authorized. Gyms are allowed to open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. with 50 percent off. Sports complexes and stadiums are allowed to open. Spectators are, however, permitted to attend the events.

However, the pools and spas will remain closed.

There are currently 1,234 active cases of COVID-19 in Haryana, according to the Union Health Ministry. Up to 7,58,144 healings and 9,474 deaths have been reported in the state so far.

A total of 93,60,623 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the state so far, including 78,058,898 first doses and 15 54,725 second doses. (ANI)
