New challenges for Fortnite involved visiting map areas, eliminating opponents, and more

The following challenges have been implemented in the game:

Free challenges

  • Revive a player in different matches (0/5)
  • Stage 1: Search a chest in Lonely Lodge (0/1)
  • Eliminate damage traps (0/1)

Battle Pass challenges

  • Stage 1: Visit Risky Reels and Wailing Woods in the same match (0/1)
  • Hit a player with a tomato 15 yards or more (0/1)
  • Complete Timed Practice (HARD) (0/3)
  • Eliminate opponents in different matches (0/10)

Revive a player in different matches

This is a fairly straightforward challenge that is best completed in a 50v50 match. Players should note that reviving multiple players in a single match does not count towards completing the challenge, only the first player to complete the challenge. ‘they revived in every match until the quota of five was reached.

Step 1: Search a chest in Lonely Lodge

As many players will try to complete this challenge on the day it debuts, it may be best to wait until later in the week to complete it which reduces the competition to deal with.

To successfully complete it, simply head to the Lonely Lodge, search for the chest, and follow the directions to the location that follows.

Elimination of damage traps

This challenge can be difficult and quite long to complete, often requiring at least a little luck.

Players looking to successfully complete it should keep their eyes peeled for traps and, after obtaining them, deploy them in a structure during the Endgame in locations that would surprise enemy players.

Players should try to put themselves in the shoes of opposing players and consider where they might be surprised to find the damage trap, especially in structural locations that are hard to see and get around.

Stage 1: Visit Risky Reels and Wailing Woods in the same match

This multi-stage challenge should probably be done in a 50v50 match to minimize the threat posed by enemy players. Depending on how the Battle Bus takes you, first visit the location closest to your landing point and try to complete the challenge at the start of the match as soon as possible.

Hit a player with a tomato 15 yards or more

This new challenge is probably easier than it looks, as throwing tomatoes at your own teammates also counts towards completing the challenge.

To successfully complete it, players will need to obtain a Tomato Emote, unlockable at level 28 of the Battle Pass. From there, players must either team up with an ally or participate in a 50v50 match and throw tomatoes at each other.

According to early reports, this challenge can also be completed by throwing tomatoes in the game lobby before you even get on the battle bus.

Complete the timed practice

Timed Trials are back for Week 3 of Season 6 and can be found at the following locations on the map:

  • Just north of the rocket silo just northeast of Snobby Shores
  • West side of a bridge just southeast of Shifty Shafts
  • At the west end of the Tomato Temple
  • Just south of Tilted Towers on the hill near the cabin

Once players hit the timed trials, simply activate them and complete the course before the time runs out. Players should be aware that they will likely need to build ramps or knock down several obstacles in order to successfully complete each timed trial.

Eliminate opponents in different matches

Although listed as a difficult challenge, this one is fairly straightforward and straightforward to complete.

The challenge, in particular, requires players to eliminate ten opponents in different matches, which means that it involves a long-term commitment but can be completed without too many problems, especially for veteran players.
