Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks win ESPY award for best WWE moment

ESPN hosted the 29th Annual ESPY Awards on Saturday night in New York City, and WWE’s presence was once again felt with the return of the WWE Best Moment Award. After reducing the nominations to 16 via fan vote, the last four nominations included Edge winning the Royal Rumble from No. 1 place, Bianca Belair winning the Women’s Rumble, Bad Bunny hitting a Canadian Destroyer in WrestlingMania 37 and Belair and Sasha Banks wrap up the first night of WrestleMania as the main event.

The ceremony announced that Belair and Banks had won the award. The match was not only the second women’s game to serve as the main event at WrestleMania, but it was also the first time that two women of color had been featured in this prestigious fight.

Belair, flanked by her husband Montez Ford, arrived at the ceremony for the SmackDown Women’s Championship which she won from Banks. She also confirmed that she made the dress she arrived in.

Banks has not been on WWE TV since WrestleMania, although she has been announced for the upcoming week’s edition of Friday night SmackDown in Houston. Meanwhile, Belair will defend his title against Carmella on the same evening. Discover the full show map below:
