USA Swimming Names Minot Native Lowe Olympic Medical Staff | News, sports, jobs

Dr. Matt Lowe, a 2004 Minot High graduate, was recently selected to be the chiropractor for the USA Swimming team at this year’s Olympics.
He has held a similar role for Team USA at various competitions including the 2017 and 2019 world championships. Lowe continues to be the chiropractor for the University of Texas men’s swim and diving team, which is from winning her 15th NCAA National Title in March.
“It is a huge honor to be selected as the team’s chiropractor”, Lowe said. “As the team behind the team, we have a goal in mind; to help these athletes win gold in Tokyo.
Lowe, who was born and raised in Minot, swam for the varsity Wizards team and held school records in both individual and relay events. He then joined the University of Texas Swim and Dive Team where he became two-time United States National Champion, 10-time NCAA All-American, 12-time Conference Champion in addition to competing in the Trials of the US Olympic team in 2004., 2008 and 2012. Then in 2018, Lowe was inducted into the Minot High School Sports Hall of Fame.
The eminent former Magi received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his doctorate from Parker University in Dallas, Texas. In 2016, Lowe established Dynamic Sports Medicine, a sports rehabilitation clinic with four locations in the Texas area.
