Liverpool’s preparations for the next campaign are well under way, with Jurgen Klopp’s side currently in a pre-season camp in Austria.
The Reds are looking to fight for silver again next season and they have already stepped up their defense, signing Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig for £ 36million.
Liverpool are aiming for further additions and are also looking to tie a number of key players to new contracts.
Several fringe players are also expected to leave the club this summer, with Liverpool looking to raise funds to fund new signings.
With that in mind, here are the latest rumors around Liverpool.
Grujic completes its final release
Klopp’s first signing as Liverpool boss in January 2016, Marko Grujic sealed a £ 10.5million transfer to Porto.
Grujic spent last season on loan at the Portuguese club and impressed, making a total of 39 appearances in all competitions.
Speaking to Porto’s official website, Grujic said: “I am really happy. I have done everything I can to return to FC Porto and I am very happy that this day has arrived.
“The clubs came to an agreement and the return to FC Porto was the most important thing for me, because I felt very good here last season.”
Awoniyi to move to Union Berlin
23-year-old forward Taiwo Awoniyi is expected to follow Grujic out the door, with the Liverpool Echo reporting that Liverpool have accepted a £ 6.5million offer from Union Berlin.
The report says the deal contains a 10% sell clause and Liverpool will make a big profit, having signed Awoniyi from Imperial Soccer Academy in 2015 for just £ 300,000.
Mainz had also shown interest in the striker, while Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham had all been linked with his services.
However, there has been no concrete approach from English clubs, according to Athletic, and Awoniyi is expected to join Union Berlin.
He spent last season there on loan and scored a total of five Bundesliga goals in 21 appearances.
Leicester “will offer Tielemans an exceptional new contract”
Leicester City are expected to ‘step up’ attempts to tie Your Tielemans to a new long-term deal, according to a Daily Mail report.
The Belgium international has impressed since arriving at King Power Stadium, notably scoring the game-winning goal in Leicester’s FA Cup final victory over Chelsea last season.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for the midfielder as the Reds seek to replace Georginio Wijnaldum, who left to join Paris Saint-Germain.
Tielemans has only two years left on his current contract and Leicester are said to be preparing to offer him a bumper extension when he returns from holiday.
It is claimed the new deal would see Tielemans become one of Leicester’s top earners, with Jamie Vardy and Kasper Schmeichel currently earning over £ 100,000 a week.
