Cris Nievarez finished 5th in the semi-final of the standings, ready for the final race

MANILA, Philippines – Filipijo put a bet that Cris Nievarez clocked a time of 7: 26.05 and finished fifth in the men’s single scull C / D semi-finals in the Tokyo Olympics rowing competition at Sea Forest Waterway Thursday.
The Filipino bet, who withdrew from the medal race after losing in the quarter-finals, will now advance to the D-final – the ranking of 19th to 24th places.
Peruvian Alvaro Torres Masias led the C / D semi-finals with a time of 7: 02.49 while Monegasque Quentin Antognelli was second in 7: 06.03 and Bermuda Dara Alizadeh taking third place with a time of 7: 11.14 .
The C finals will be for the classification from 13th to 18th.
Iraqi Mohammed Al Khafaji was fourth with a time of 7: 21.52 while Hussein Alireza of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was sixth with a time of 7: 53.99, the two joining Nievarez in the D final.
The D final will take place on Friday at 7:35 am (Manila time).
