Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh to make film debut with “Friendship”

Harbhajan Singh, who celebrates his 41st birthday on July 3, is set to make his movie debut with “Friendship”.

The Indian bowler will star in director John Paul Raj and Sham Surya, which is produced by Kiran Reddy Mandad and Ram Maddukuri. ‘Friendship’ also stars Tamil actor Arjun and Sathish.

The directors of the film shared a poster showing the cricketer wearing a blue shirt while sporting a Kaili or Kalli Mundu, a sarong worn by men around their waists.

A lyrical music video was also released with the title ‘Aaja Chal Tu Wahan’.

In the film, Bhajji plays a mechanical engineering student who teams up with his new friends to escape senior hazing.

Scheduled to open later this year, the film will be released simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
