PHOENIX – A little boy who was pulled from a Phoenix swimming pool on Monday has died, authorities said.
The Phoenix Fire Department said a team responded to a drowning call at a house near 68th and South Avenues around 6:20 p.m.
Officers from the Phoenix Police Department also attempted to resuscitate the boy at home.
The child was taken to hospital in critical condition. Further rescue attempts were made, but he was pronounced dead.
“At the moment, this is under investigation as a tragic accident,” police said in a press release Tuesday morning.
