Kimi Raikkonen of Alfa Romeo indicated on Monday that he would return to the Russian Grand Prix after missing the last two Formula 1 races because he tested positive for COVID-19.
The 2007 world champion posted a photo on Instagram with the caption “I’m fine. See you at the next GP”.
The 41-year-old retires from Formula 1 at the end of the season, his compatriot Valtteri Bottas leaves Mercedes to take his place at Alfa.
Raikkonen’s seat was occupied during the Dutch and Italian Grand Prix by Polish reserve driver Robert Kubica. The Russian race in Sochi will take place on September 26.
