Lindsey Drumm and Carly Joerin Verbally Engage in Dartmouth Admission Process

NEW COMMITMENTS: Dartmouth College received two new verbal engagements * for the 2022-2023 season and beyond from Hinsdale, Illinois Lindsey Drum other Carly Joerin of Tampa, Florida.

In January, the Big Green agreed to reinstate the program it originally cut in July 2020.

She said Swimming world:

“I am very happy to announce my verbal commitment to the Dartmouth College admissions process to further my athletic and college career. A big thank you to my family, coaches and teammates for making this possible for me. Go big green !!!! “

Drum trains year round with the FMC Aquatic Club and recently placed sixth in the 100m butterfly at the senior long distance championships in Illinois, where she had two fastest times. She also finished 12th in the 200m butterfly and 16th in the 100m butterfly at the Pleasant Prairie Sectionals in July.

His best moments include:

  • 100 flies – 55.78
  • 200 fly – 2: 05.41
  • 50 free – 24.39
  • 100 free – 51.75
  • 200 free – 1: 53.51

Also competing for Fenwick High School, Drumm won the 100 butterfly and 200 freestyle at the IHSA Leyden section competition during his junior season. She placed 18th in the 100 butterfly at the IHSA State Championships in second year after placing 22nd in that event in 2018.

Regarding her engagement, she said:

“I am very happy to announce my verbal commitment to the Dartmouth application process! I chose Dartmouth because of the exceptional academic opportunities, the incredible swimming program, the welcoming team and the spectacular coaches. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the unwavering support of my family, friends and coaches. Go Big Green !! “

Joerin does his swim club with Tampa Elite Aquatics and won two lifetime records at the Last Splash Invite in July after finishing 12th in the IM 400m at the TYR 18 & U Spring Cup – Orlando. She also finished fifth in the 1,500 freestyle at the Southern Zone Sectional Championships in February.

His best moments include:

  • 1650 free – 17: 04.80
  • 1000 free – 10: 08.90
  • 500 free – 5: 00.89
  • 400 IM – 4: 24.49
  • 200 IM – 2: 07.47

Currently a senior at Freedom High School, Joerin is a five-time Florida State 3A Championship finalist. She was seventh in the 200 freestyle and 11th in the 500 freestyle as a junior while taking 15th in the latter in her second campaign.
