John Asiata signs one-year deal to join Canterbury Bulldogs for 2022, comments Phil Gould

The Bulldogs have further strengthened their roster for next season with the addition of veteran utility John Asiata on a one-year contract.
The 28-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the current NRL Wooden Spoons after 128 games and a premier with the Cowboys before spending last season with the Brisbane Broncos.

Bulldogs general manager of football Phil Gould said he was “happy” with the acquisition before next season.
“I’ve always viewed John as a skillful and intelligent player. He certainly gives the coach a few options. Very happy he’s a Bulldog,” he tweeted.
Asiata joins Paul Vaughan and Tevita Pangai Jr in what is shaping up to be a dangerous attacking group for Trent Barrett next season.
“By hiring someone of John’s experience and versatility for next season, we believe we have found a player who will be a great addition to our club,” Bulldogs CEO Aaron Warburton said in a statement. Wednesday.
