Manly Sea Eagles Des Hasler Reaction in Coach’s Box, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Jason Saab

Manly Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler lost his temper in the first half of his team’s NRL final against South Sydney.

The Sea Eagles had lost just six points after 15 minutes, but Hasler was already feeling the tension after a scoring opportunity gripped him.

As Manly half-back Daly Cherry-Evans pushed the ball away within 30 yards of the try line, winger Jason Saab briefly found himself in space storming the line. touch, before being wrapped and brought into contact by two Rabbitohs.

“You have to give them a shot, South Sydney. It was superb defense,” Sea Eagles legend Paul Vautin said in a comment for Nine.

“Manly’s first attack opportunity in the Souths and Saab danger zone has speed, but look at them [the Rabbitohs] go! “

After Hasler’s reaction to the test tackle broadcast, Vautin explained what the manly coach was probably shouting in the coaches box.

“Uh-oh,” Vautin said. “Red and green sweaters everywhere. I can’t help much, Des.

“I think he was probably hoping Saab would get inside once he saw the cover arrive.”

Manly’s luck didn’t improve much from there with two tries denied by the bunker and Hasler’s men facing a 22 point deficit at halftime.
