WWE Superstar Becky Lynch is looking forward to her first visit to Saudi Arabia and hopes to inspire the Kingdom’s next generation of women.
The RAW Women’s Champion will be in action at the Crown Jewel in Riyadh on Thursday, October 10. 21, when she puts her title on the line in a Triple Threat match against Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair.
“This will be my first trip to Saudi Arabia, but I only heard good things about the country from the guys who have already left,” she said.
“Everyone is so nice when the guys go there, and the people there are so grateful and grateful that we go there and play, so I can’t wait to be there and see it all through. myself.”
Lynch said she looks forward to connecting with the women on the show and hopes to send a positive message to those looking for inspiration.
“Being able to inspire people is the most important thing; that’s why we are doing this, ”she said. “We’re seeing a whole new generation and hopefully showing them what’s possible and what can be done. It’s extremely important for us to go out there and steal the show. “
Lynch is a former concurrent holder of the RAW and SmackDown women’s titles, and is known for blazing her own path in WWE.
The Irish-born star thinks that “we should all trust our intuition a little more in life,” adding: “I think it’s about being true to yourself and trusting your instinct.”
She said: “As women and as people, we often don’t trust each other enough and I don’t know where that is coming from. Growing up we are always told to be careful and not to do this or that, but I think you have an inner voice that never serves you badly. I don’t remember ever having thought in my life that I wished I hadn’t trusted my instincts. Once we follow our intuition, it always brings us to the right places. “
Nicknamed “The Man,” Lynch returned to WWE at SummerSlam in August after the birth of her first child, and is aware of her role as a role model and how her actions can influence so many.
“One thing I find I look at differently now is social media and how it affects people, and young people in particular,” she said.
“You might have noticed, but I don’t really post that much anymore, and it revolves a lot around the story of how we empower women to use our voices appropriately, especially when there is so much noise all the time. I think I’m still trying to figure all this out, but I think everything I do carries a lot more weight now that I’m a mom. “
The champion is set to put on a show alongside Banks and Belair for Riyadh audiences and hopes to walk away with her title intact.
“People can expect me to always come out as the Smackdown Women’s Champion,” she said. “But on top of that, they can look forward to a barnstormer game. Every time you get me Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair, three of the best in the business, regardless of gender, you know you’re going to watch something extra special, and there’s no doubt this match will fly star. “
Lynch will face Banks and Belair for the RAW Women’s Championship at the Crown Jewel at Mohammed Abdo Arena – Boulevard in Riyadh on Thursday, October 10. 21. Tickets available on ticketmx.com starting at SR 50 ($ 13.30).
