PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers Wrestling will host an open practice on Saturday, October 10. 16 from 10:30 am to noon at the RAC. Admission is free and fans are requested to always wear a mask – unless eating or drinking – while at the facility.

While parking for the open practice is also free, parking for invited events will require a one-time online registration to secure a spot in the green or yellow lots outside the RAC. Those who wish to attend can register here.

Season tickets for the 2021-22 campaign are on sale now and can be purchased here. Rutgers Athletics announced earlier this year that its paid indoor winter sports – which include men’s basketball, women’s basketball and wrestling – will return to 100% capacity for the 2021-22 season.

UK is hosting nine home events this season, starting with its annual quad meeting against Binghamton, Cleveland State and NJCU on Sunday, November 7 at RAC. Rutgers welcomes ranked enemies Ohio State (No. 7) and Illinois (No. 21), as well as state rivals Rider (February 3) and Princeton (February 18 Army (December 10), Indiana (January 7)) , Maryland (February 12) and Colombia (February 19) are also visiting the RAC this winter.

Fixed the preseason No. 14 team in the country by Intermat, Rutgers features wrestlers ranked in eight weights, including the top 10 rankings for No.1. 3 Sebastien rivera (133), n. 5 Jean Poznanski (184) and No. 8e Jackson turley (174). No. 13th Sammy Alvarez (141), n. 15th Greg Bulsak (197), n. 27 Michael vanbrill (149), n. 31 Dylan shawver (125) and no. 33 Robert kanniard (157) were also recognized in their respective weight classes.

Under the direction of the head coach Scott goodale, RU closed the 2021 season with three All-Americans in the same year for the first time in program history. With NCAA Qualifiers VanBrill and Billy Janzer (197), the Scarlet Knights have 13 national championship wins en route to 13th place with 37.5 team points. RU is also welcoming one of the nation’s top freshmen this fall, which includes prominent New Jersey people. Michael cetta, Joseph Olivieri, Dean Peterson, Dylan Tisserand other Tony white.
