Nuggets fear PJ Dozier (ACL) will lose for the season

The Denver Nuggets are bracing for life without rotating goalie PJ Dozier, who is expected to be lost for the season with a ripped ACL, ESPN and The Denver Post reported on Wednesday.

Dozier, 25, was injured in Tuesday night’s loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. Dozier landed awkwardly after a rim collision in the first quarter and had to be swept away by his teammates.

It’s another big blow for the injury-riddled Nuggets, still awaiting Jamal Murray with an ACL injury and dealing with Michael Porter Jr.’s lower back issues. Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic has missed the last three games due to a wrist injury.

Dozier is averaging 6.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in 18.9 minutes off the bench. He played in all 18 games. He is averaging 6.4 points for his career in five seasons with three teams. He is in his third season with Denver.
