Is Mark Ingram playing on Thanksgiving? Fantastic Injury Update for Bills-Saints Week 12 Thursday Night Football Game

Mark Ingram (knee) is “questionable” as Thursday night football week 12 approaches showdown against Bills, and while he may not be a fantastic stallion at this point in his career, Alvin Kamara’s inactivity has put Ingram in the starting or sitting bubble. We don’t know the extent of Ingram’s injury, but he believes it is a decision to be made during the game. The fantastic decisions regarding Ingram and Toney Jones Jr. are on the line as we await the latest injury updates throughout Thanksgiving Day.

We will continue to update this article with news from Ingram until the official active / inactive report is released on Thursday. For all the latest fantasy updates, follow us on Twitter @SN_Fantasy.

Does Mark Ingram play Thursday?

UPDATE: Fox’s Jay Glazer reported Thursday morning that Ingram is not scheduled to play Thursday night against Buffalo.

Ingram had limited practice on Wednesday after missing practice on Tuesday, and it’s officially a game time decision before Thursday night. Alvin Kamara is set to miss a third game in a row, so Ingram would remain New Orleans’ main full-back if he plays. Tony Jones Jr. will be number one. 2 RB.

If Ingram plays, it will be a tough day for the 31-year-old veteran. Jonathan Taylor scored 50 points against them, but let’s not exaggerate here. We can’t let an elite full-back performance dictate what we think of a game. The Bills are still considered one of the fiercest clashes for running backs, and it’s no news to say Ingram isn’t Taylor. Although Taylor scored over 50 points and Derrick Henry scored over 30 points against the Bills, they are still in the top eight allowed defenses in the FPPG.

If Ingram can’t play, Jones Jr. will obviously find himself in the same situation. As far as we know, Jones Jr. is a better running back at this point in Ingram’s career, but neither should be considered a must-have option. In Jones’ case, we all want to play the guy we just got on waivers, but this is not the place to do it. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t keep hiding it for later in the year,

At the end of the day, we know that many fantasy owners are forced to play pretty much any “start back”, so of course there are situations where they’ll be queued up. We rank Ingram just outside the top 24 RBs, and Jones Jr. will likely be in that territory if he is the starter through Ingram’s absence.
